Today's happenings in Palm Coast.  The face of this Flagler community is changing daily.  The original hotel which brought the original settlers (retirees) to Palm Coast is gone.  Plans for a new elegant hotel, condominium, social complex will be rising from the ground now flattened by heavy equipment.  (How do they know its level?)  (How far down do they go for pillars to rebuild to new hurricane standards? 

Don't blink.  If you don't go by there for a few days the buildings will be up and running.

New Flash!  West Palm Coast.  Yes, a new community planned where we once wondered who owned all that property to the west.  Palm Coast Holding announced plans for an extensive community west of the City.  Homes, retail, industrial, commercial is all in the mix.  Don't stay away too long.  It is coming even though the heavy equipment is not there yet. 

South of Palm Coast.  A new residential area catering to the truly retired and elderly with special needs not currently being met well by the community.  South of Route 100 and East of US 1.  Long time in coming.  Does have a go ahead from the county.

Business ---------  not as usual.  Commerce is finally emerging from the long sleepy struggle to find a place in Flagler County.  Again,  don't blink or stay at home too much.  The heavy equipment is already moving west of US 1 carving out a retail, commercial, warehouse, light industrial area.  Finally the guys who want to expand their business or begin anew have opportunities.  Pre-construction prices.  Wow.  Quick.  Don't blink.  It is beginning to happen.

Redevelopment of Route 100 to provide a face lift to the new town center just north and adjacent.  Maybe further in the future but the plans can be seen.
