Grace English School was founded in 2007 by the Learning to Hope Organization, co-founders and a mother daughter team, Lori Lewis and Carol Alexander. Grace English school has been growing successfully for over 10 years now. Currently the school provides a free education to 120 (as of 2018) students and provides jobs for 10 staff members. It is quickly becoming a vibrant and thriving ministry in the small rural village of Assam, India reaching hundreds of community and family members with the life transforming love of Christ. Currently Grace English school provides classes from pre-school to 5th grade with continuing plans to expand to grade 7. We have 6 class rooms, one Teacher's office, Library, Kitchen and Dining room/Multipurpose room.

No family is charge for tuition, school materials, uniforms or food. It is all provided through generous supporters and First Baptist Church of Lodi. Please consider partnering with us in the vital ministry to underprivileged children.

It is the on going purposes and goals of the Learning to Hope board to:

  • Demonstrate the love of Christ by breaking the cycle of poverty and human trafficking

  • Provide high quality education in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Impact the surrounding community through good works and simple acts of compassion.

  • Encourage children to serve as positive Christ-like models within their families and communities.

  • Meet the physical needs of the students through nutrition, hygiene and health care.

  • Develop partners for prayer and financial support.
