Carol Alexander India 2018

Where Did The Summer Go?

27.08.2018

I feel like I just got home and now it is time to return. This has been a busy summer for me since returning to the states in May.

In June I went to Texas to visit family and friends and attend my granddaughter Emma’s graduation from High School in Texas. Emma will be returning with me to India for the next 3 months. We are both excited to see what God has in store for her during this new and different journey for her. As all her friends are settling into college dorms she is busy packing and getting ready for serving alongside me in India. I have been blessed to see her excitement to be a part of the Grace English School ministry.

July was spent with Dr. appointments, opportunities to share about Grace English School with Sunday School Classes, and lunch and dinner with friends getting caught up with each others lives. I’m also enjoying all the food that I don’t get in India and worshiping with my First Baptist Lodi family on Sundays.

August found me in Rhode Island with family and the wonderful opportunity to share about my life in India with First Baptist Church of Wickford. It was such a joy to see this great congregation get excited about India and the ministry there.

Now as I am busy packing and getting ready to return to India I am pondering how I will miss you all and I will hold tight to my many memories of this summer. Even though I am sad and I am not looking forward to another long plane ride, I am looking forward to returning on September 6th with my Granddaughter Emma and to my community, India family and all the children and staff at the school.

So many of you have been praying for me and your support of this ministry has meant the world to me. I cannot thank you enough! It means so much to me to know I have a team who are willing to partner with me in this exciting journey God has put me on.

PRAISES

1.   The strength God has provided me for this busy summer

2.   All the opportunities to share about this impactful ministry

3.   Watching God provide for finances for Emma to come with me to India and have her visa process go extremely smooth

PRAYERS REQUESTS

1.   To stay focused on all the details involved in getting ready to leave

2.   For our travel to go smooth as we travel and for ease going through immigration in India

3.   For Emma to adjust quickly to a very different culture

4.   That the necessary income will come in for my next months in India, I am running a little short each month
